A series devoted to powerful yet often misunderstood geisha and courtesan women. I hope to explore some of the beauty juxtaposed with the ugly side of being in these personas. I have painted these women without faces to reflect how they are often seen yet, certainly never forgotten. There is a lot of controversy and contradictions with these women, and I express this using various and opposing materials (India ink and oil pastels), hoping that something interesting happens. People are never just one-sided but often multi-faceted, full of contradictions and opposing ideas. These women I create represent the complexities of the human condition

How it Works

Step 1

Once the artwork has been purchased, we will contact the artist to verify its availability.

  • If the artwork is available, we will validate your payment.
  • If the artwork is not available, we will cancel your payment and send you an e-mail to notify you.

Step 2

Once the artwork has been sent by the artist, you will receive the tracking number by e-mail.

The artist will send you the artwork, safely packaged, with the Certificate of Authenticity and your invoice.

Step 3

Once you have received the artwork, do not hesitate to send us a picture of the artwork on your wall!

If the artwork didn't meet your expectations, you have 5 days to notify us.

Each artwork is delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity, filled out and signed by the artist.

*Additional delays may happen depending on the artist's availability, if the artwork requires framing or due to the current COVID-19 situation.

General Information
Shipping and delivery of the Works is managed by the Artists. You will receive a confirmation of shipment and tracking information by email and to your Artasiam account.

Ownership title to a purchased Work and the risk of loss of a purchased Work shall pass on to you upon delivery confirmation by the delivery courier.

If a Work is returned to the Artist for reasons attributable to you, including if you submitted the wrong address, if you refuse delivery of a Work or if you fail to retrieve a package held at a pickup location, you will receive a reimbursement for the purchase price minus the return shipping charges and the shipping fees will not be reimbursed.

Shopify payments is certified according to the Level 1 PCI DSS standard, which means your payment is fully secured.
