One of the pieces from the series “Historia”. “1933” displays events happened in 1933, which are The Great Depression and the invention of the game Monopoly. “Historia” puts different events that happened in the same year together, in order to showcase the surprising gap and irony between the history of the world and the history of man. The concept of this thesis is to explore history events that have significant impact to the world and compare it with other events to create a sense of irony and shock to the audiences. Each illustration depicts a combination of two historical events that happened in the same year.
