Painted in the current times of chaos, the painting puts a spotlight on the sacred space created by the artist in a dedicated corner of her room, where she seeks refuge, a holy place where she can rest, catch a breath, or regain strength. It's like her sanctum sanctorum- a favorite chair, pushed over by the window, a favorite book, and 3 PM sunshine peering through the window to cheer her up taking away from all the chaos. Definitely, it wasn't forever or from everything but it was just that sacred space only for that sacred moment that felt enough.
She strongly believes that there exists a door inside us - the state of peace of mind that leads to peace and is very tangible. It opens to an infinite sacred space in our own hearts, minds, and souls, which is real as well. If we go to that place and ask for sanctuary, we can always find it. Once you have a place, a time, and a ritual, you can touch in with the peaceful energy of the sanctuary anytime you especially feel vulnerable.
