This painting is part of my “Hidden Figures” series where, I explored concepts of flawed, idealized memory and sentimentality. I paint figures in an abstracted, dreamlike setting pulled from family photographs. Mimicking how our perception of reality can become trapped behind layers of wants and desires. I then take it a step further and fuse the painting with the idea of a traditional tapestry. Sacrificing the “perfect” image behind a veil of sheer fabric and string to demonstrate memories as separate from reality, incapable of being relived or experienced twice. The vertical white strands of string sewn across the surface of the painting reference how tapestries are made on a loom.

How it Works

Step 1

Once the artwork has been purchased, we will contact the artist to verify its availability.

· If the artwork is available, we will validate your payment.

· If the artwork is not available, we will cancel your payment and send you an e-mail to notify you.

Step 2

Once the artwork has been sent by the artist, you will receive the tracking number by e-mail.

The artist will send you the artwork, safely packaged, with the Certificate of Authenticity and your invoice.

Step 3

Once you have received the artwork, do not hesitate to send us a picture of the artwork on your wall!

If the artwork didn't meet your expectations, you have 5 days to notify us.

Each artwork is delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity, filled out and signed by the artist.

*Additional delays may happen depending on the artist's availability, if the artwork requires framing or due to the current COVID-19 situation.

General Information
Shipping and delivery of the Works is managed by the Artists. You will receive a confirmation of shipment and tracking information by email and to your Artasiam account.

Ownership title to a purchased Work and the risk of loss of a purchased Work shall pass on to you upon delivery confirmation by the delivery courier.

If a Work is returned to the Artist for reasons attributable to you, including if you submitted the wrong address, if you refuse delivery of a Work or if you fail to retrieve a package held at a pickup location, you will receive a reimbursement for the purchase price minus the return shipping charges and the shipping fees will not be reimbursed.

Shopify payments is certified according to the Level 1 PCI DSS standard, which means your payment is fully secured.
